Mr Guy Selles was born in Algeria in 1934. He took lessons in design and painting at the society "des Beaux Arts" in Alger taught by Mr Camille Leroy.
Back in 1956 he opened his own work where he decided to specialize in painting letters, advertisment and interior decoration. Later on at the age 60, he decided to immortalize enchanting provence on canvas work and these echos remind him the time spent in Algeria. Thus notre Dame de la Garde perched on the warmth of the moment lived back in Alger. This paintings like a recurrent image gives out a light which permeate a calmness transcribing the mediterranian gentle way of living.
The work of the artist are permanently on display at his place in Marseille 39, Bd de la libération.
